Scope of the Meeting
The SSB meetings are devoted to all aspects of biomaterials including design, preparation, characterisation, quality control, application and clinical results. Both applied and basic research papers are welcome. The meeting is open to who have interest in scientific, technological and medical aspects of biomaterials and is intended primarily for graduate students, scientists, medical doctors, dentists and engineers working with metallic, ceramic, polymer or other biomaterials. In 2007 the oral part of the meeting was oriented towards all aspects of Micro and Nanotechnologies in Medical Applications : Risks and Opportunities. This included synthesis, characterization, in vitro and in vivo testing, and applications.

Swiss Society for Biomaterials (SSB)
The SSB is the assembly of people in Switzerland working or interested in the field of biomaterials, be it on the industrial or the university level. Our Charter and Bylaws describe the goals of our Society. We welcome everybody interested in the wide field of biomaterials to participate in our meetings and to join our Society. The SSB is officially affiliated with the European Society for Biomaterials.
