The ScSB holds an annual conference each year in the Nordic & Baltic region, at which researchers and partners from industry gather to share their latest findings and innovations regarding biomaterials.
Our all-inclusive conferences include keynote presentations by renowned researchers with diverse expertise.
This year brings the new approach. Having to face the COVID-19 pandemic and its various effects, the ScSB 2021 is going virtual. The safety and well-being of all conference participants is of utmost priority. The next ScSB 2022 conference will be held in Jurmala, Latvia in 2022, returning to face-to-face events!

The topic of the ScSB 2021 conference is dedicated to “Customized Solutions” in any area connected with biomaterials. This can be related to, e.g., in vitro and in vivo models for specific applications, chemical composition and the structure of implant materials, as well as drug delivery systems and applications in clinic.

Prof. Mauro Alini with the lecture "Design and biological response of patient specific implant for craniomaxillofacial bone repair" /Switzerland/

Prof. Wojciech Swieszkowski with the lecture "3D printing technologies for medical devices and tissue engineering" /Poland/
